Christine O’Connell joins the Alda Center team full-time

caoChristine O’Connell has joined us full time.

Christine was in the original pilot group of graduate students who did improvisation with Alan Alda back in 2009 and worked part-time for us organizing the Flame Challenge last year. She is passionate about improving scientific communication to the public and scientific outreach to the community. Her goal is to work towards strengthening the connections between science, policy, and society.

Now that she has her doctorate (in marine sciences, awarded in May) she’s become our workshop coordinator. Christine takes over for Valeri Lantz-Gefroh, who is expanding her work teaching improvisation and developing our improv curriculum.
