The Alda Center talks improv with Al Jazeera America

There’s some idea in my head, and I want to transmit it to someone else’s head in such a way that they know it exactly the same way I do. If you’re going to do that, you have to be really tuned in to the other person and really thinking about what phrasing they’re expecting and what they’ll understand and what will be familiar to them.
